The Nhulunbuy Corporation facilitates a community advisory committee known as the Nhulunbuy Town Board. The role of the Town Board is to provide community and stakeholder feedback to the Nhulunbuy Corporation on how to improve the services and facilities the Corporation is responsible for within Nhulunbuy, the Industrial Estate and Gove Airport.
The operating parameters of the Town Board are set out in the Town Board Constitution. The Board meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month and the public are welcome to attend meetings if they wish. Alternatively, residents are able to raise issues for discussion by contacting one of the Elected Members.
Elections
Town Board elections are generally held every two years with the next election to be held in November 2024. Voting for the Town Board is optional. The elected Members represent the entire population of Nhulunbuy and the Industrial Estate.

Wesley is an elected member of the Town Board and is enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the board and the community.
Wesley has lived in East Arnhem Land for ten years and the last four years in Nhulunbuy. During his time in the region, he has been involved in several community/future focused committees as well as volunteering with several associations. Working for Local Government and Land Councils has allowed Wesley to develop a strong commitment to community development and hopes to bring this experience to the board.
Wesley has loved the lifestyle that living in East Arnhem brings and wants to see the region continue to flourish post-mining, with community led, innovative planning and development.
Wesley understands that the Nhulunbuy community is strong and passionate and encourages any residents to contact any of the board members if they have interests or issues that the Town Board should be made aware of.
