Nhulunbuy Primary School began as Nhulunbuy Area School in 1972 and became a primary school in 1981. It is one of the largest primary schools in the Northern Territory.

Nhulunbuy Christian School is a non-denominational, co-educational Primary and Middle school (Transition – Year 9) of approximately 200 students. It is a well resourced school and has grown rapidly over the past ten years.

Nhulunbuy High School opened in 1981, and caters for students in years 7–12. With a dedicated and experienced teaching staff and high quality resources, the school has achieved strong academic results in many different disciplines. Students at the school have come from across Australia and the world, and bring a wealth of international experiences with them.

Arnhem Early Learning Centre is open 6.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and offers the option of permanent or casual sessions for half or full days. The Centre caters for babies from 3 months to 5 years for day sessions, as well as Out Of School hours Care for 5-12 years.

The Centre is open 7am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and offers long day care for children up to school age.
