Use this form to apply for a from for proposed land use, building, subdivision or operational works, and to provide the plans, reports, owner consent and supporting documentation needed to assess the development.
New Power Connection in a Non-Operational Area FRM ENG 070
Use this form to apply for approval of a new electrical connection or electrical load associated with a development in a non-operational area connected to the power distribution network before any energisation can occur.

Use this form to request approval to energise a new electrical connection to the Rio Tinto Gove power distribution network in town or non-operational areas after the connection has been approved and an NT Certificate of Compliance has been obtained.
What Information Will You Need?
Applicants should provide the following documentation, where applicable to the proposed development:
- Completed Development Permit Application Form.
- Evidence of land ownership or written owner consent (if the applicant is not the property owner).
- Current Certificate of Title or land tenure details.
- Site Plan showing property boundaries, setbacks, existing structures, easements, access points, car parking, and proposed works.
- Architectural Plans including floor plans, elevations, sections, and building dimensions.
- Engineering Drawings and specifications for structural, civil, stormwater, drainage, water, and sewer infrastructure works.
- Construction Specifications and scope of works.
- Development Report or Planning Statement outlining the proposed development and intended land use.
- Environmental or Technical Reports where required (e.g. traffic, geotechnical, bushfire, heritage, environmental, or hydraulic assessments).
- Landscaping Plan showing proposed vegetation, screening, and external works.
- Erosion and Sediment Control Plan for construction activities.
- Stormwater Management Plan.
- Evidence of service authority approvals or referrals where required.
- Fire Safety Design documentation where applicable.
- Relevant licences, permits, or approvals from government agencies or service providers.
- Photographs of the site and surrounding area (recommended).
- Any additional information requested by the assessing authority to properly evaluate the application.
