The Nhulunbuy Corporation's Compliance team wishes to remind building, construction and general contractors of the requirements for Building Permits when works are being conducted on the Town and Industrial Lease.
In particular, re-roofing, replacement of external sheeting or changing windows DO require a Group 2 Building Permit. An exhaustive list of examples of works and the Building Permit type can be found on our webpage here. We ask that you refer to when you are planning your works and adhere to the provided guidelines.
If roofing work is carried out without having been issued the correct Building Permit, further works such as the installation of solar panels or solar hot water systems will not be authorised.
