The Nhulunbuy Corporation's Community team wishes to advise of a closure to Cantrell Skatepark. This will commence from Wednesday the 6th of March.
MG Electrical will be conducting maintenance works to Cantrell Skatepark and the surrounding area. This will occur on Wednesday the 6th and Thursday the 7th of March.
Following the completion of these works, Cantrell Skatepark will remain closed until further notice. This closure will continue until the re-opening is announced. The decision to action this closure was not an easy one but was made due to the enormous degree of vandalism and miss-use occurring at the facility. This primarily relates to the damage to the surfacing from use of E-Scooters, which are prohibited in the Skate Park, as well as graffiti and damage to shade sails and fencing.
