Australia Day Awards

The Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony will take place at the Nhulunbuy Town Hall, with a 10:30AM start on Friday 26th of January. It will have a 90 minute run time, with a catered lunch post-event for attendees.

Performances will include a Buŋgul by Rirratjingu Aboriginal Corporation, a dance production by Miku Performing Arts and a performance by Yirrmal.

This year, we are privileged to have Adam Drake as our Australia Day Ambassador. Adam is the founder of the Balanced Choice. His work within the youth and adult justice system earned him a nomination as Australian of the year NT in 2019. 

The morning will also include a citizenship ceremony for 3 residents of Nhulunbuy who will become Australians.
