The Nhulunbuy Corporation's Aviation team will be providing their expertise in line-marking by assisting in the re-vitalisation of the Nhulunbuy High School pedestrian crossing. The re-painting of this pedestrian crossing is scheduled to take place from 7AM on Sunday the 6th of August.
For safety reasons, and to allow the paint to dry and set, traffic will be diverted throughout the duration of the works, as well as for some time afterwards. NEAL (North East Arnhem Land Aboriginal Corporation) have provided a traffic management plan, which is available for review upon request. It has also been posted on the Nhulunbuy Corporation Facebook page. This traffic management plan will see traffic on Matthew Flinders Way diverted onto Thunderman Road and Sandalwood Avenue. Signage will be in place to highlight the detours required.
It is anticipated that the works will be complete within 4 hours, allowing Matthew Flinders Way to be re-opened.
