Residents are advised that there is a vacancy of two representatives to the Nhulunbuy Town Board, with terms running from November 2022 to November 2026.
The election will occur on Friday 25th November 2022. Details regarding early voting will be provided closer to the election date.
To nominate yourself as a candidate, please go to the Nhulunbuy Corporation website and submit a Nomination Pack and Election Declaration Form. These are available at: https://ncl.net.au/our-community/nhulunbuy-town-board/nhulunbuy-town-board-election-2022, along with additional information regarding requirements and key dates. All Nomination Packs and Election Declaration Forms must be submitted by:
Thursday 24th November at 1PM (extension provided from Wednesday 2nd November at 12PM). No nominations will be accepted after this date and time.
For residents wishing to vote in the Town Board Election, the enrolment roll closure date is:
Monday 24th October 2022 at 4PM. No enrolments will be accepted after this date.
Enrolment forms are available at the Nhulunbuy Post Office and the Nhulunbuy Corporation Head Office during normal business hours or enrolment can be effected online at http://www.aec.gov.au/enrol/. To be eligible to vote, you must be:
- Over 18 years old
- Enrolled on the Electoral Roll for Nhulunbuy
- A current resident of Nhulunbuy
