Gove Airport

The Australian Army, US Marines and Indonesian Troops will conduct a friendly training exercise in the Nhulunbuy NORFORCE Compound and adjacent Rio Tinto property, Arnhem Land from 14 to 20 May 2022.

Exercise Crocodile Response 2022 is important because it will train our forces to deploy together and support people overseas after a crisis like a cyclone.

The exercise is designed to have only a minor impact on the Nhulunbuy community, with most of the activities taking place inside the compound. Military vehicles will move between the compound, Port of Gove and Gove Airport, with minor disruption to traffic.
