I am writing to advise that I will be stepping down as CEO for the Nhulunbuy Corporation, with my departure planned for early November 2021. This decision has been a difficult one to make as my time here has been an amazing journey, where I have been privileged to live and work on Yolngu land working with so many committed and talented people. Like most people, being away from family through COVID has been difficult and the time has come for me and my husband to return to Western Australia.
Arriving in Nhulunbuy nearly 3 years ago I set a goal to leave the Nhulunbuy Corporation and the people within it better placed to support its community than before I arrived. I am very proud of the many improvements and changes which have been implemented. I am confident that the great work of the staff, management, Town Board and Board of Directors will continue to deliver on NCL’s Corporate Plan 2024.
The Board of Directors have engaged McArthur to conduct the recruitment process for a new CEO. This process has commenced, providing time to select the ideal candidate, whilst allowing for a handover, induction, and smooth transition from myself to the new CEO.
