We’re thrilled to share that the new Lion’s Park Playground is nearly complete! Over the past three weeks, our contractors AXSA Group have worked tirelessly, often starting as early as 3am to beat the rain and make up for earlier machinery delays. Their dedication and determination have been outstanding, and we’re incredibly grateful for their effort in bringing this space to life for our community.
What’s next?
Custom shade sails are being built specifically for this playground
Expected arrival: approximately 4 weeks
Installation will take around one week
Once complete, the playground will be officially opened

The area remains an active work site and is barricaded off. Please do not enter or use the playground at this time it is still unsafe for the public.
Thank you for your patience. We know many families are eagerly waiting and we truly believe this playground will be worth it. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic addition to our community and will serve families across the Gove Peninsula for many years to come.
