Dirt road leading into bushland

The Nhulunbuy Corporation's Animal Management team warns all residents of buffalo sightings occurring on the dirt track leading from Melville Bay Road to Datjala Work Camp. Over the last 2 weeks, a number of buffalo have been sighted loitering or crossing the track. All residents should remain clear of the area for safety reasons. Please note also that buffalo are generally not aggressive and often will flee but can still be incredibly dangerous, especially if they have a calf, are a lone male or feel threatened.

If you observe crocodiles anywhere on or near the Town Lease, please report it to Tristan by calling 0419 838 064.
