

The Department of Trade, Business and Asian Relations has recently rolled out a scheme for residents in Nhulunbuy, which will provide funding for NT homeowners, business owners and not-for-profit organisations to buy and install batteries and inverters to support a solar power system.
The steps to apply for funding under this scheme are as follows:
1. Check your eligibility for the HBBS - refer to terms and conditions.
2. Request a quote from a qualified service provider.
3. Complete your HBBS grant application on the GrantsNT online portal.
4. Once your application is approved and you have received your voucher, you can instruct the service provider to proceed.
5. Your service provider will apply for a building permit with Nhulunbuy Corporation (NCL).
6. NCL approves the building permit to install the solar panels.
7. Once installation is complete, NCL will carry out an inspection.
8. Your service provider will issue you with the certificate and installation documents.
