Residents are advised that there is a vacancy for one representative to the Nhulunbuy Town Board, with a term running from September 2023 to September 2027.
The election will occur on Saturday 23rd September 2023.
To nominate yourself as a candidate, please submit a Nomination Pack and Election Declaration Form. All Nomination Packs and Election Declaration Forms must be submitted by:
Friday 15th September at 4PM. No nominations will be accepted after this date and time. The aforementioned forms can be found here.
For residents wishing to vote in the Town Board Election, the enrolment roll closure date is:
Friday 15th September 2023 at 4PM. No enrolments will be accepted after this date.
Enrolment forms are available at the Nhulunbuy Post Office and the Nhulunbuy Corporation Head Office during normal business hours or enrolment can be effected online at http://www.aec.gov.au/enrol/. To be eligible to vote, you must be:
- Over 18 years old
- Enrolled on the Electoral Roll for Nhulunbuy
- A current resident of Nhulunbuy
