NCL contractor Arnhem Land Pest Control (ALPC) have recently commenced the use of a larger and more modern rubbish collection truck which is anticipated to greatly improve the efficiency of our twice weekly rubbish collection services.
Historically, all rubbish trucks have had major issues in Cul-de-sacs. This is due to the design of those streets, as they were built prior to the current building code for streets, which did not account for the use of rubbish trucks. As a result, in the past years, ALPC have been required to make perform up to 14-point turns in certain streets to exit the area. Due to the increased size of the new truck, ALPC have advised that a change in procedure for rubbish collection in Cul-de-sacs will be implemented from Friday 11th of August.
Please see the diagram on the right. The rubbish truck will proceed along the path shown in green and stop prior to the turn-around area in the red marked position. It will then reverse out of the Cul-de-sac. As a result, your bins will need to placed prior to the throat of the turn-around area in your street on the left side of the road relative to the entrance.
Communications regarding these changes were provided to property managers, real estate agents and landlords on the 4th of August.
