Nhulunbuy Corporation is the billing agent for Rio Tinto.
Meter reading occurs after the end of each quarter, and billing follows shortly after. Billing occurs quarterly in April, July, October and January. 

As part of the transition to Town normalisation away from the subsidised electricity tariffs set forth by Rio Tinto Gove Operations,  tariffs will be incrementally adjusted to match that of the regulated rate set by the Northern Territory Government and published via the Utilities Commission of the Northern Territory. Electricity tariffs in Nhulunbuy matched the regulated rate in April 2024. Please see the relevant letter below in relation to electricity billing in 2024 and into the future:

Water


Meter reading occurs after the end of each quarter, and billing follows shortly after. Billing occurs quarterly in April, July, October and January. 

In the event that a previously undetected leak results in higher than expected water consumption, the Water Leak Policy outlines a method and conditions of obtaining a credit to grant financial relief. 

As part of the transition to Town normalisation away from the subsidised water tariffs set forth by Rio Tinto Gove Operations,  tariffs will be incrementally adjusted to match that of the regulated rate set by the Northern Territory Government and published via the Utilities Commission of the Northern Territory.
