Home trading is popular in Nhulunbuy and allows residents to operate small businesses from their homes. Permission must be sought from the Nhulunbuy Corporation before setting up a home trading business.

Public Mobile Trader and Service Provider Permits
Approved mobile vendors or service providers are permitted to conduct business on public land within Nhulunbuy.
The Nhulunbuy Town Board are the community advisory committee that assess and endorse permit applications, to find out who your town board members are click here.

Registration of Human Services and Food Services Businesses
If you wish to commence a health, beauty or food service business you will be required to register with the environmental health department by obtaining a Health Certificate / Relevant Licence.

The Home Trading Policy establishes a framework for managing home occupations in Nhulunbuy. It has been developed to ensure that home occupations are established and operated in a manner that does not detract from the residential amenity of the locality.
This Policy applies to all home occupation activities within the Nhulunbuy Township (SPL214) and Nhulunbuy Industrial Estate (SPL250)
