Election Enrolment Day 2019
Residents are advised that the election of two representatives to the Nhulunbuy Town Board is planned for the Saturday 9th March 2019.
Any person wishing to cast a vote must first be enrolled as a voter for the Nhulunbuy Town Board election.
Residents are advised that the enrolment roll closure date is Friday 25th January 2019 at 4pm.
No enrolments will be accepted after this date.
Enrolment forms are available at the Nhulunbuy Post Office and the Nhulunbuy Corporation Head Office during normal business hours or enrolment can be effected online at http://www.aec.gov.au/enrol/.
Election Nomination Day 2019
Thursday 21st February at 12 noon
NOTICE is hereby given that an election is planned to be held on:
Saturday 9 March 2019 to elect two representatives to the Nhulunbuy Town Board for four year terms.
Candidate nomination forms are available by clicking on the links below or from the Nhulunbuy Corporation Head Office in Westal Street during normal business hours or by email to the Deputy Returning Officer, Stacey Irving via email@example.com.
Completed nomination forms must be submitted to the Returning Officer, Helen Taylor at the Nhulunbuy Corporation Head Office by 12 noon on:
Thursday 21st February 2019. No nominations will be accepted after this date and time.
To be eligible for nomination, the candidate must:
- be an enrolled voter
- not be employed by the Nhulunbuy Corporation, and
- not be disqualified from being a member of the Nhulunbuy Town Board under section 30 or 40 of the Associations Act.
