Adam Seiler

Chief Executive Officer

Adam commenced as Chief Executive Officer with the Nhulunbuy Corporation in 2016.  Adam has an extensive career in the local-government, not-for-profit and private sectors and has worked in Western Australia, Queensland and Northern Territory.

Bringing with him a generalist background, coupled with strong financial skills. Adam is focused on continuing the improvement initiatives already deployed and increasing value to stakeholders in the delivery of municipal services to the community of Nhulunbuy.

The Nhulunbuy Corporation needs to be an active participatory player in the future-space of our community, with communication and support critical capstans to this process.

Adam is an Executive Director of the Nhulunbuy Corporation and chairs the Nhulunbuy Town Board and the Nhulunbuy Cemetery Trust.

Adam is an active member of the community and welcomes the opportunity to facilitate and capitalise on the achievements already made to date.

In his spare time, he enjoys Fishing and Camping, International travel and spending time with his wife.

 

Julie Bryce

Manager, Corporate and Community Affairs

Julie commenced with the Nhulunbuy Corporation on 8 January 2007 as the Chief Financial Officer, her role has expanded over the years. Currently Julie is the Manager of Corporate and Community Services. Julie has nine employee’s reporting directly to her ranging from corporate administration, sports and recreation, building and the aquatic centre. Her main responsibilities are to maintain accurate accounting records for the Nhulunbuy Corporation. These include budgeting, annual reporting, industrial relations, human resources and network administration. Julie is the company Secretary for the Nhulunbuy Corporation and Nhulunbuy Cemetery Trust.

Julie has qualifications in the Accounting and Business Management field, she holds an Associate Diploma in Business Accounting 1992, Bachelor of Business – Minor in Accounting and partial Major in Management and Certificate of Public Participation.

Julie enjoys working for the Corporation as she an advocate for community projects and strongly believes in community consultation and participation. Julie approaches community projects through research into the background and alternatives, preparation of financial implications and sustainability.

Clyde Wade

Manager, Town Operations

Clyde has been employed with the Nhulunbuy Corporation since August 2015. Currently Clyde is the Manager, Town Operations, he has quite a lot of experience in operations management and spent many years working in project management with a number of companies.

Clyde believes his previous experience and skills within varies roles has given him what’s required to enable him as a Manager to lead a team of hard working and dedicated employees whom undertake the maintenance and upkeep of the Nhulunbuy Corporations infrastructure.

Clyde loves living in Nhulunbuy. He admires the community he describes it as warm and inviting everybody is so friendly and is always willing to offer a hand.

Les Mitchell

Manager, Airport Operations (Gove Airport)

Les Mitchell has over 33 years experience in airport operations. His passion for airports started in Alice Springs when he accompanied his father on a number of airstrip inspection trips throughout central Australia swagging it by a campfire under the stars. Les lives by the motto ‘failing to plan is planning to fail’ due to the nature of his early learnings when communications was by a two way radio and help was often days away.

For the past 15 years Les, his wife Lyn with their children Caitlyn and Keven have called Gove home. Les commenced with the Nhulunbuy Corporation as an Airport Technical Officer in 2000 and was appointed Manager, Airport Operations in 2007. During his time at the airport Les has been fortunate to be involved in three runway reseals, the relocation of half the runway, addition of a new jet parking facility, terminal building, roads and car parks, introduction of passenger checked baggage screening and the overall operations of safety, security and customer service.

Les completed Year 12 in Sydney and was a surveyor’s assistant with the Fairfield City Council. He achieved a Diploma in Surveying, secured a traineeship as a Technical Officer engineering with the Department of Transport and worked on Sydney KS Airport where he was in charge of assets. Les moved to Alice Springs in 1987 as an Aerodrome Inspector. In 1989 he relocated to Darwin to become a District Aerodrome Inspector. For the next 11 years the role of the aerodrome inspector transformed from operational to Airport Safety Auditor, his desire to return to a hands on airport was granted when a position become available at Gove Airport and to this day the fairy tale continues.

Les enjoys playing and spectating all sports. He has been on numerous sporting club committees and continues to volunteer his time to coaching and officiating local sporting events. Les currently coaches the local junior tennis players to compete successfully in intrastate tournaments and continually encourages tennis players of all ages to participate on the courts.

Maria Robbins

Program Manager - Town Vision

Maria was introduced to the town and community of Nhulunbuy in September 2015 as part of a project sponsored and supported by JAWUN and Telstra. Telstra was her employer for a very large part of her working life.

Maria joined Nhulunbuy Corporation in February 2016. Maria’s role at the Nhulunbuy Corporation is a Project Manager, responsible for implementation of the Town Vision strategy. She is very excited about the opportunity as she will get to work with a large number of people, organisations and the community in leading and supporting the future of Nhulunbuy.

Maria has extensive experience and gained some valuable skills in a number of industries and roles including Customer Sales and Service, Marketing, Project Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Organisational Change Management. These have all lead her to appreciate the importance of working with stakeholders to achieve the optimum outcome for the customer, the people and the business.

In her down time Maria enjoys cooking, reading and travelling.
